Da Nang earns international level tourism awards

Da Nang tourism has just honored in 13 categories at the World Travel Awards, including 7 awards at the Asian level and 6 awards at the Vietnamese level, spanning from entertainment and recreation to luxury accommodation.

The results were announced at the awards ceremony held on September 27th in the Maldives. In the Asian category, Sun World Ba Na Hills won two titles: "Asia's Leading Theme Park 2026" and "Asia's Leading Cable Car 2026".

In the resort sector, Hoi An Memories Resort & Spa was awarded "Asia's Leading Cultural Resort 2026"; Hoiana Resort & Golf received "Asia's Leading Fully Integrated Resort 2026"; and Shilla Monogram Danang was honored as "Asia's Leading Lifestyle Resort 2026".

InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort received two awards: "Asia's Leading Luxury Resort 2026" and "Asia's Leading Luxury Hotel Villa 2026" for Bai Bac Bay Villa.

At the Vietnamese level, Four Points By Sheraton Danang was awarded "Vietnam's Leading Beach Hotel 2026"; Voco Ma Belle Danang by IHG received "Vietnam's Leading City Lifestyle Hotel 2026".

The remaining titles include "Vietnam's Leading Luxury Hotel Villa 2026" for Beachfront Villa @ Naman Retreat; "Vietnam's Leading Luxury Resort 2026" for InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort; "Vietnam's Leading Riverfront Hotel 2026" for Hotel Royal Hoi An Danang and "Vietnam's Leading Theme Park 2026" for Sun World Ba Na Hills.

According to the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, this year's awards span a wide range of product types, from theme parks and cable cars to cultural resorts, integrated resorts, beachfront hotels, lifestyle hotels, and luxury villas.

The World Travel Awards were established in 1993 to recognize achievements in the tourism, travel, and hospitality industries worldwide. 2026 marks the 33rd edition of these awards.
