Flight Da Nang to Osaka launched
This flight route is expected to create great potential for tourism and trade between the two cities, promoting economic, cultural cooperation and people-to-people exchange between the two countries.
On July 3, Vietnam Airlines Corporation launched
a regular direct flight between Da Nang and Osaka (Japan).
The first flight, flight number VN337, departed from Kansai International
Airport (Osaka) at 9:30 a.m. and landed at Da Nang International Airport at
12:25 p.m. the same day. In the opposite direction, flight VN336 took off from
Da Nang at 1:10 a.m. and arrived in Osaka at 7:55 a.m. the same day.
Previously, flight VN336 departed Da Nang at 1:10 a.m. on July 3 carrying nearly
100 passengers and landed safely in Osaka at 7:55 a.m. (local time).
The Osaka - Da Nang route will start operating from July 3, with a frequency of
4 flights/week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays; bringing the total
number of flights connecting Da Nang with major cities in Japan to 11
flights/week.
Vietnam Airlines expects this route to create great potential for tourism and
trade between the two cities, promote economic, cultural cooperation and
people-to-people exchange between the two countries, and open up opportunities
for Vietnamese businesses to access the Japanese market and vice versa. At the
same time, the route will effectively serve the needs of travel, tourism,
visiting relatives and trade between the two regions, especially the community
of more than 50,447 Vietnamese people living in Osaka.
Osaka is one of Japan's largest cities and an important economic, cultural and
tourist hub in the Kansai region. Renowned for its vibrant pace of life, Osaka
offers a unique blend of tradition and modernity, from ancient castles like
Osaka Castle to modern shopping districts like Dotonbori with its delicious
street food. The city is also a gateway to explore nearby popular destinations
like Kyoto and Nara.
Since 1994, Vietnam Airlines has opened its first flight route to Japan with the
Ho Chi Minh City - Osaka route. Up to now, the airline's flight network
connecting Vietnam - Japan has increased to 10 with an average of over 120
flights per week from Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City to Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya,
Fukuoka.
After 30 years, Vietnam Airlines has operated more than 100,000 flights between
the two countries, transporting nearly 16 million passengers. The Northeast
Asian market, especially Japan, is still one of the most important international
markets for Vietnamese aviation with an average growth of 20% per year.
