It may not be difficult to find a beautiful beach in Vietnam but there is hardly a place that can match the wild Pu Luong Nature reserve. Trekking around the land surround by wildlife, exotic plants and immersing in the nature which enchanted by a stay in local house will be an unforgettable memory for any visitors.

FULL ITINERARY

Day01

Hanoi – Pu Luong walking and rafting (L, D)

Morning: transferred from the hotel in Hanoi to Pu Luong Nature Reserve in about 4-hour drive. Travel on the mountain pass on the north of Vietnam, offering traveler amazingly charming scene of rice fields, magnificent mountain areas. At noon, arrive at Pu Luong and stay at local homestay 800 meters from the arriving destination to have delicious lunch prepared by local people. Afterward, you will be guided to explore the attractive surroundings of terraced fields and traditional villages.

Afternoon: Transferred by car to a unique suspension bridge to cross the Cham River. It is the time for you to start trekking through the field and meet the remarkable water transfer system. Come close to the bamboo water wheels as they transfer water to handmade bamboo aqueducts constructed in different sizes.

Go down the path and have a short rest at a local fisherman’s house before the rafting trip with Mr. Dinh and his team. Slowly sail on the river and relax in front of the peaceful sceneries. Moreover, it is possible to try paddle and sail your handcrafted rafts.

After such incredible experience, we will arrive at Tan Lap bridge and transferred back for another meal featuring local cuisine. Rest and spend your night at a local house.

Summary: Walk through rice fields, water wheels: 2.5 km easy walk – 1.5 hours | rafting: 2 km – 1.5 hours

Day02

Pu Luong – Hanoi (B, L)

Waking up and enjoy your breakfast while listening to the whispering of nature, the cool breezes and vivid forest around the house. Afterward, bid farewell to the kind host and continue the trip to the magnificent man-made rice terraces. Remember to prepare to record or take photos of the wonderful land of farm and the poetic village on the way.

The villagers always welcome any guests to discover their customs and traditions with their utmost hospitality. Then, arrive at the base of the valley and there will be a car to transfer you back to Hanoi. You will have lunch on the way and arrive in Hanoi in the late afternoon.

Summary: 4 km easy walking –3 to 3.5 hours
