This stunning cycling tour along Ho Chi Minh Trail is a great challenge offering you special chance to learn about Vietnamese history while immersing into the fabulous nature. The adventure starts from the wonderful valley of Mai Chau, along the historical Ho Chi Minh Trail including the charming ancient town of Hoian. The route is incredible scenic with magnificent views and very little traffic.
Day01
Hanoi Arrival (D)
Upon arrival at the airport in Hanoi, you will be welcomed and transferred to the hotel in Hanoi. Along the way, there will be a brief information about cycling tour and the road and traffic condition in Vietnam.
In the afternoon, if time permits, you will have a riding test to get well with the bike.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Hanoi.
Day02
Hanoi – Mai Chau – Buoc Village (B, L, D)
In the morning, set off your journey with a scenic drive to the wonderful Mai Chau Valley. The way to Mai Chau offers a special chance to take in the stunning views of mountains, valleys, farms and rice fields. Along the way, there will be a stop to relax and take lovely photos.
After 4 hour drive, you arrive in Mai Chau. Make a stop in PomCoong – the village of Thai people and enjoy lunch at a local house. After lunch, start your cycling adventure on village road to Buoc village – home to Thai ethnic minority. Upon being provided a professional bike and helmets, hop on your bike and paddle on a small village road.
In the late afternoon, arrive at Buoc village. Dinner and overnight at a stilt house of Thai people.
Day03
Buoc – Hang village (PuLuong Nature Reserve) (B, L, D)
Your cycling adventure today is more challenging than yesterday. After breakfast, hop on your bike for a lovely ride on village roads to Van Mai village. Enjoy lunch at a local house in the village.
After lunch, venture south to Pu Luong Nature Reserve. The first part of your bike is on a beautiful road through Mai Chau Valley while the next part is on a bumpy village road. In the late afternoon, arrive in Hang village where you have an overnight at a local house of a Thai family.

Day04
Hang – Hin village (B, L, D)
Your adventure today is truly tough when climbing on both dirt paths and village roads which run through Pu Luong Nature Reserve. In the morning, your ride is quite challenging while in the afternoon, it is easier with a ride downhill to Hin village. Take your time to enjoy wonderful mountain views and lovely villages during your ride. Enjoy lunch at a local house along the way.

Day05
Hin village – Tan Ky (B, L)
In the morning, leave the village behind and continue your adventure along Ma River passing through vast fields. You may find it is interesting to see some water wheels near the river used for providing water for farms. Ride on a bridge to cross the river. Lunch will be served in Canh Nang town.
After lunch, keep riding to the Fairy Fish Stream in Cam Luong to see the huge number of fish in the stream. You can even have great chance to feed and touch them. Afterwards, continue your trail south on Ho Chi Minh highway.
In the afternoon, transfer by van to Tan Ky Town for a dinner at a local restaurant.
Overnight at a hotel in Tan Ky.
Day06
Tan Ky – Huong Khe (B, L)
After breakfast, continue your ride on Ho Chi Minh Highway to Pho Chau – a small town in the south of Tan Ky. Your ride in the morning is quite easy on smooth roads passing tranquil villages and beautiful mountains. In the last part of your morning adventure, take a bus ride to Pho Chau for lunch. After that, make your way to a small road on Ho Chi Minh Trail which leads to the famous historical destination – Dong Loc junction. After one hour drive, you will meet Ho Chi Minh Highway again. Take a bus for a transfer to Huong Khe.
Dinner and overnight in Huong Khe.
Day07
Huong Khe – Phong Nha – Dong Hoi (B, L)
After breakfast, enjoy a bus drive for around 20 kilometers before hopping on your bike for a ride towards Phong Nha National Park. Your cycling adventure today is quite gentle. Make a stop for lunch in Liem Phu. After lunch, transfer by bus to Phong Nha Cave – a famous natural spot. Upon arrival, enjoy a cruise along the river to explore the cave.
Your cave discovery will take you through spectacular limestone formation in the cave. After around 2 hour cruise, head back to the pier for a bus ride to Dong Hoi.
Dinner and overnight in Dong Hoi.
Day08
Dong Hoi – Dong Ha – DMZ (B, L)
After breakfast, take a short bus ride and then set out your cycling adventure on Ho Chi Minh Highway. Along the way, make a stop at Truong Son Cemetery – the resting place of hundreds of thousands soldiers serving in Vietnamese army during wartime.
After the visit, transfer by bus to Dong Ha to check in hotel. Lunch will be served at the local restaurant followed by a bus tour to DMZ. The visit of DMZ is a great chance for those who are especially interested in history to learn about Vietnamese history.
Dinner and overnight in Dong Ha.
Day09
Dong Ha – Khe Sanh – A Luoi (B, L)
After breakfast, you will be transferred by bus to Khe Sanh. Take some time to explore the old military base before meeting your bike for a ride along Da Krong River. Take in the peaceful views of the river with lovely tribal villages. Lunch will be served along the way.
In the afternoon, keep your ride to A Luoi. Your cycling offers you a great chance to see one of the most brutal battle fields. The combination of the serenity of historical stories and the spectacular views will bring you a unique feeling. You will get to know more about how important Ho Chi Minh Trail is in the war time as well as in recent time.
Dinner and overnight in A Luoi.
Day10
A Luoi – Thanh My (B, L)
After breakfast, take a bus ride to the peak of a long and high pass. Upon arrival, start your stunning cycling adventure by riding downhill for 40 kilometers to Prao. After lunch in Prao, keep your cycling to Thanh My.
Dinner and overnight in Thanh My.
Day11
Thanh My – Hoi An (B, L)
After breakfast, continue your exciting cycling journey to the charming town of Hoi An. You will ride along Vu Gia River to get to Hoi An. Make a stop en-route for lunch in Dai Loc. After lunch, hop back on your bike and keep your trail to Hoi An. You adventure today is quite easy as your ride is mainly downhill and flat terrain.
In the late afternoon, arrive in Hoi An. Check in your hotel and enjoy dinner in the Quarter of Hoi An. Overnight at the hotel in Hoi An.
Day12
Hoi An Free Time (B)
Today you have plenty time to explore this ancient town on your own. There is a wide range of activities to take part in such as joining a cooking class, visiting handicraft villages, enjoying the sunset with a cruise on Thu Bon River or shopping in the town center.
Overnight in Hoi An.

Day13
An – Danang – Departure Flight (B)
After breakfast, spend time relaxing. We recommend you to enjoy a swim at An Bang Beach before transferring to Danang airport for your departure flight. End of your tour.
