This 2 day tour offers you a great chance to explore further Ben Tre – the land of coconut in Vietnam. Take a boat and bike trip to get a real taste of life of the locals in this unspoiled land. You also get stunning experience with an overnight at a homestay, interact with farmers in fileds and cook with the host to make delicious local dishes.

FULL ITINERARY

Day01

Saigon - Ben Tre (D)

This morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and transferred to Ben Tre. Upon arrival, embark on a local boat to a brick factory to learn more about the traditional making process of bricks remained unchanged for centuries. Continue onto one of coconut processing workshops along the canal to sample some fresh coconut and see how parts of the coconut are used to make food. You also visit a candy workshop before moving onto the homestay for check in.

Take a bike ride along shady paths. Make your way to a mat weaving house to observe local artisans using a hand loom to make beautiful mats. You could even try yourself to weave. Enjoy fruits and tea and chat with friendly locals. Make a stop at Mr. Sau Khanh’s house who has collected a lot of ancient ceramics, potteries from Asia. Try to be a real local person by taking part in farming activities with the locals in the field.

You also have a chance to cook delicious local dishes with the host. Dinner and overnight at the homestay.

Day02

Biking Trip in fields and vegetable plain (B)

After breakfast, check out your homestay. Get on the bike and paddle through fields and vegetable plain to a local market to immerse into the bustling atmosphere of the region in the morning. Make your way to a rice paper – making workshop and then stop at a local house for relaxing before embarking on the boat to get back to the pier. Transfer back to Ho Chi Minh city.
