For adventure lovers, this is a perfect trip to explore Sapa on the best and longest trails. In this spectacular trek, you will hike up and down hills and follow zigzag routes around Hoang Lien Son mountain range. Your trek also includes local experience with authentic homestay at local houses and unique culture of local ethnics. With breathtaking scenery and unique experience, the trek is worth to take in the most spectacular trekking trails of Vietnam.

 

Day01

Night train to Lao Cai

You will be picked up from your hotel or the meeting point and transferred to Hanoi Railway Station for a night train to Lao Cai. Overnight in AC soft sleeper cabin.

Day02

Sapa – Sin Chai – Cat Cat – Y Linh Ho village (B, L, D)

Upon arrival in Lao Cai, our local guide will take you to the former hill station of Sapa. You will then soak up in the vast terraced hills and mountains of the area with the stunning green landscape.

After breakfast, make your way downhill to Sin Chai village- home to Black H’mong hill tribe. From the village, head up the mountain of Hoang Lien. Once getting on the top, set off your trek on a small trail offering wonderful views. The trail will lead to Cat Cat village. Lunch will be served nearby the waterfall.

In the afternoon, continue your trek on a zigzag trail through a mountain and along a narrow river. Along the way, there will be a great chance to enjoy the stunning scenery. Your next stop will be Y Linh Ho village – the habitat of Black H’mong ethnic minority. Take a short rest at a lovely spot nearby the river. 

Overnight at a local family in the village.

 

Day03

Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai village (B, L, D)

Today, continue your trek along Hoang Lien mountain range with the famous Fansipan – the highest peak in the north of Vietnam. It offers you a chance to enjoy magnificent views over the stunning Muong Hoa valleys with huge rice terraces.

Following the beautiful trekking route, you will pass through Lao Chai village and then Ta Van village – where Giay minority inhabits. Make a stop at the village for a rest followed by a delicious lunch in a local house.

After lunch, take a walk through a bamboo forest to Giang Ta Chai village – home to Red Dao ethnic group. 

Dinner and overnight at a local house in Giang Ta Chai.

Day04

Giang Ta Chai – Thanh Kim – Thanh Phu village (B, L, D)

Try to wake up early to observe the exciting daily life activities of the local in the village. Your adventure today will continue to Thanh Kim and Thanh Phu area. After breakfast, set off your trek through huge rice paddies to Su Pan Village. You will learn more about local life and the way they plant rice on terraces.

Make your way to Thanh Kim for lunch. Continue trek along a narrow valley downhill to the Ngoi Bo River for 2 hours. Afterwards, uphill for another hour to Muong Bo village. You arrive at Thanh Phu commune – home to Tay ethnic minority. 

Dinner and overnight at a local stilt house in the village.

 

Day05

Thanh Phu – Nam Than – Nam Nhiu – Sin Chai B village (B, L, D)

After breakfast, leave Thanh Phu village and continue your adventure through several small hill tribe villages such as Red Dao, Tay and Black H’mong. In this section of the trek, you get a great opportunity to take in the beautiful views of Nam Sai and Nam Cang Valleys and get a real taste of local life in the remote regions.

You may find it is interesting to see the local people with their daily activities. Continue your trek to Sin Chai B village of Red Dao people where you stay for the night in a bamboo hut. Once arriving at the village, take a short rest and a leisurely walk to explore the tranquil village.

 

Day06

Sin Chai B – Thanh Phu – Sapa (B, L)

Today, downhill along a small trail to Nam Cun village and then continue onto Muong Bo village for lunch. After lunch, head out to Thanh Phu Bridge to get on the bus for a scenic drive back to Sapa. Upon arrival, take a rest and explore Sapa town. 

In the late afternoon, transfer to Lao Cai for the night train to Hanoi.

 

Day07

Arrive in Hanoi

In the early morning, you will arrive in Hanoi. Then, our guide will transfer you to the airport for your departure flight. End of services.
