Thanh Chuong Palace Day Trip (L)
A day to visit Thanh Chuong Palace to learn more about typical Vietnamese culture and architecture. Explore the typical culture and architecture of Vietnam.
8.30. Depart to Thanh Chuong’s Viet Phu – an ancient Viet’s architecture, in Hien Ninh commune, Soc Soc district, about 30km away from Hanoi city. Arrive at Thanh Chuong’s Viet palace, contemplate the beautiful landscape there: the tower, the fish pond, the roofs of the estate’s temples and pagodas which are considered as “the collection of ancient Vietnamese culture”. Thanh Chuong is the famous musician and his palace’s architecture is reflected his sophisticated style: from the various doors opening to different directions to many statues and ceramic, pottery and stone objects that had been collected carefully by Thanh Chuong for the last 30 years. Take your time and walk leisurely around this tranquil and beautiful complex would ease every stress or tiredness inside you.
After having lunch at the restaurant, you should have a short break before heading to the Giong Temple nearby (about 2km away from Thanh Chuong palace). On arriving at Giong’s Temple, you would have a chance to understand more about the legend of Saint Giong as well as do sight-seeing at the Temple. Built in the pre-Le Dynasty (980) to worship Saint Giong, his mother, and local gods and goddesses, the temple was last restored in 1992 and was recognized as a national historic relic in 1962.
After climbing up to the Non Nuoc pagoda on the top of the mountain, you would be amazed at the biggest Buddha Statue in the Southeast Asia region, made from bronze which is 20 tons weight and 8.4 meter high.
15.00. Get back to the car and return Hanoi. End of services.
