From Mountain to the Sea Tour

Hanoi – Mai Chau (L, D)

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel for a drive to Mai Chau. Along the way, you have a great opportunity to enjoy the fabulous views of the mountainous landscape. Upon arrival in Mai Chau around noon time, enjoy lunch in a local Thai house.

In the afternoon, enjoy a short walk around Mai Chau for a glimpse of the region and then transfer to the remote Mai Hich village. If the weather permits, you will take a small bike ride around the green community. After the great experience, return for dinner in the Thai house.

Overnight in the stilt house of Thai hosts.

Mai Chau - Pu Luong (B, L, D)

After breakfast, say goodbye to the host and drive east for 15 kilometers to the famous Pu Luong nature reserve. Upon arrival, set off your trekking tour for 2 hours on the small trail. Your trek will take you through Thai villages and beautiful rice terrace. Along the way, you have a chance to take a short break at local houses.

After the trek, get on the car again and transfer to Pu Luong retreat lodge. On arrival, check in the traditional stilt house (sharing) before enjoying lunch.

In the afternoon, continue your adventure with a hike on trails to Kho Muong village. It is an easy trek and takes about 2,5 hours. Do not forget to bring a camera along with you to take great pictures along the way.

Dinner and overnight at Pu Luong retreat lodge.

PuLuong – Tam Coc (B, L, D)

After breakfast, leave Pu Luong for a drive to Tam Coc in Ninh Binh. Upon arrival, join our small exploration of the region. We recommend you to take a bicycle and paddle around the charming sceneries of numerous limestone mountains in Tam Coc and enjoy lunch at a local house. 

In the late afternoon when the scene is in the most vivid ambiance, you will board a local sampan, glide along the water and explore the beautiful and meandering waterways of the area. Eventually, head back to the bungalow for dinner.

Overnight at Chez Loan Tam Coc hotel – bungalow

Tam Coc – Halong Bay (B, L, D)

In the early morning, depart for 4-hour drive to Halong. Your drive will get through the Red River Delta which offers tranquil views of a beautiful plain with green rice fields. Upon arrival, you will board our ship and start your cruise on the bay. A fresh seafood lunch will be served on board.

After lunch, spend time relaxing and enjoying the spectacular views of this World Wonder as the ship makes its way off the classic cruising routes. Along the way, marvel at the huge limestone formations rising from the water. After a 2-hour cruise, you will reach a remote and scenic spot near Bai Tu Long Bay. Be ready for a wide range of activities to get closer to the water and explore the bay in depth.

After one and a half hour kayaking, get back to the board to relax and start the aperitif on the sundeck as the ship cruises to the anchor area for overnight.

Dinner and overnight on board (your preferred cruise category).

Halong – Hanoi (Brunch)

In the late morning, get back to the pier for a drive to Hanoi where you will arrive at around 4 pm. Try to wake up early and soak up the tranquil atmosphere of the bay with a cup of coffee or tea. Join a Tai Chi session on the sun deck to charge energy for a new day or just relax on the sunbath and see the world passing by.

Afterwards, embark on bamboo boats for a visit to a remote floating village. The boat cruises amongst a number of floating houses and small rowing boats used as the main means of transport of the region.

After the visit, back on board for a cruise back to the pier. A brunch will be served on board during the cruise. Get the last chance to enjoy the natural beauty of the rocks, limestone formations, and emerald water.

On arrival at the pier, take time to relax with a coffee in a small café while waiting for the vehicle.
